🥤 Spicy Cranberry-Pear Punch with Ginger

Ingredients
- 100 g fresh cranberries (alternatively frozen)
- 1 tbsp raw cane sugar
- 600 ml pear juice
- 25 g ginger root
- 6 stalks lemongrass
- 1 pinch vanilla powder
- 300 ml non-alcoholic rosé wine
- 3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the cranberries under running water.
- 2. Place the berries, sugar, and 100 milliliters of pear juice into a pot.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 4. Reduce the heat to low and let the punch simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 5. Stir occasionally until the cranberries are soft.
- 6. Peel the ginger root in the meantime.
- 7. Slice the ginger into thin rounds.
- 8. Wash the lemongrass thoroughly.
- 9. Set aside two stalks for garnish.
- 10. Lightly pound the remaining stalks with a meat mallet to soften them.
- 11. Add the pounded lemongrass, the remaining pear juice, and the ginger to the pot.
- 12. Add the vanilla powder, wine, and cinnamon sticks.
- 13. Warm the punch over medium heat.
- 14. Let the flavors meld together for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 15. Strain the finished punch into glasses through a sieve.
- 16. Garnish each glass with a piece of lemongrass.
