🍽️ Cozy Potato and Minced Meat Pie with Puff Pastry Lid

Ingredients
- 300 g starchy potatoes
- Salt
- 1 onion
- 100 g green peas (frozen)
- 1 carrot
- 1 tomato
- 400 g minced meat
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- Salt
- Pepper (from a mill)
- 60 ml hot milk
- 20 g soft butter
- 50 g grated cheddar
- Nutmeg
- 1 sheet puff pastry (ready-made, refrigerated section)

Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and rinse them under running water.
- 2. Place the potatoes in a pot with salted water.
- 3. Boil the potatoes for about 25 minutes until they are tender.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 5. Set the oven function to top and bottom heat.
- 6. Peel the onion and dice it into fine cubes.
- 7. Let the peas thaw.
- 8. Peel the carrot and cut it into small cubes.
- 9. Pour hot water over the tomato.
- 10. Cool the tomato briefly to loosen the skin.
- 11. Peel the tomato and quarter it.
- 12. Remove the core of the tomato.
- 13. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
- 14. Fry the minced meat in hot oil.
- 15. Add the onions to the minced meat and fry them together.
- 16. Add the prepared vegetables to the meat.
- 17. Sweat the vegetables briefly.
- 18. Stir the tomato paste into the mixture.
- 19. Season everything with salt and pepper.
- 20. Drain the cooked potatoes.
- 21. Let the potatoes steam dry in the pot.
- 22. Mash the potatoes.
- 23. Stir the hot milk into the potatoes.
- 24. Add the butter to the mashed potatoes.
- 25. Stir the cheese into the potatoes.
- 26. Season the mashed potatoes finally with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- 27. Roll out the puff pastry flat.
- 28. Cut out four circles with a diameter of about 12 centimeters.
- 29. Butter four small portion molds with a diameter of 8 centimeters.
- 30. Line the prepared molds with the puff pastry.
- 31. Fill the meat mixture into the pastry molds.
- 32. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meat.
- 33. Bake the pies in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
- 34. Remove the finished pies from the oven.
- 35. Carefully release the pies from the molds.
- 36. Serve the dishes on plates.
