Ingredients
- 10 slices Chester cheese
- 4 pink grapefruits
- 0.5 bunch parsley
- 75 g soft butter
- 1 tbsp green peppercorns
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- 5 slices toast bread
Instructions
- 1. Cut each cheese slice diagonally twice to create small triangles.
- 2. Wash the grapefruit under hot water.
- 3. Peel the grapefruit.
- 4. Slice the grapefruit into approximately 1 cm thick rounds.
- 5. Cut the grapefruit rounds in half.
- 6. Collect the dripping juice in a small bowl.
- 7. Wash the parsley.
- 8. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 9. Chop the parsley leaves finely.
- 10. Mix the butter with crushed pepper.
- 11. Add the lemon zest to the butter mixture.
- 12. Add a spoonful of the collected grapefruit juice to the butter mixture.
- 13. Toast the bread.
- 14. Spread the seasoned butter on the toasted bread.
- 15. Cut the bread into quarters.
- 16. Top each piece of bread with two cheese triangles.
- 17. Add half a grapefruit piece to each piece of bread.
- 18. Add some parsley to each canapee.
