Ingredients
- 800 g pumpkin flesh (without peel and seeds)
- 4 oranges
- 2 onions
- 2 red chili peppers
- 200 ml apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves
- 2 star anise
- 150 g cane sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pumpkin and remove the inside.
- 2. Cut the pumpkin flesh into small cubes.
- 3. Peel the oranges completely.
- 4. Cut the oranges into coarse chunks.
- 5. Peel the onion.
- 6. Dice the onion.
- 7. Wash the chili peppers.
- 8. Remove the seeds from the chili peppers.
- 9. Slice the chili peppers into rings.
- 10. Put the pumpkin in a pot.
- 11. Put the onion in the pot.
- 12. Put the chili in the pot.
- 13. Put the vinegar in the pot.
- 14. Put about 200 milliliters of water in the pot.
- 15. Put the cloves in the pot.
- 16. Put the star anise in the pot.
- 17. Put the sugar in the pot.
- 18. Put the salt in the pot.
- 19. Bring the mixture to a boil slowly.
- 20. Let the mixture simmer for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 21. Put the oranges in the pot.
- 22. Cook everything for another 5 minutes.
- 23. Fill the chutney into prepared jars.
- 24. Seal the jars well.
- 25. Let the chutney cool down.
