🍽️ Crispy Pumpkin Chips with Fresh Avocado Dip

Ingredients
- 1 shallot
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 green chili pepper
- 1 lemon
- 2 ripe avocados
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- lemon zest (for garnishing)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- 400 g pumpkin flesh
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallot and dice it into small cubes.
- 2. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press.
- 3. Wash the chili peppers and cut them in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds from the chili peppers and dice them very finely.
- 5. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits.
- 6. Scoop out the flesh of the avocados from the skin.
- 7. Mash the avocado flesh finely together with the lemon juice using a fork.
- 8. Mix the mashed flesh well with the prepared shallots, garlic, and chili.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 10. Adjust the taste to your liking.
- 11. Fill the finished dip into small bowls.
- 12. Heat the oil in a large pot or in the deep fryer.
- 13. Shave the pumpkin flesh into thin slices.
- 14. Fry the pumpkin slices in the hot oil until golden yellow.
- 15. Sprinkle the finished chips with salt.
- 16. Let the chips drain on a kitchen towel.
- 17. Serve the salty pumpkin chips together with the avocado dip.
