🍽️ Spicy Chili con Carne with Corn

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 300 g beef mince
- salt
- pepper
- 2 bell peppers (red and green)
- 1 green chili pepper
- 450 g peeled tomatoes (can)
- 380 g corn (can)
- 800 g kidney beans (1 large can)
- 750 ml beef broth
- 2 tsp chili powder
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and cut it into fine cubes.
- 2. Heat the oil in a large pan.
- 3. Sauté the onion cubes for a few minutes.
- 4. Add the minced meat to the pan.
- 5. Fry the meat for 6 to 8 minutes until it breaks into small crumbles.
- 6. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- 7. Wash the bell peppers and the chili.
- 8. Halve the vegetables and remove seeds and stem base.
- 9. Cut the flesh of the bell peppers and chili into cubes.
- 10. Drain the corn in a sieve.
- 11. Put the peeled tomatoes into a cooking pot.
- 12. Crush the tomatoes in the pot using two forks.
- 13. Rinse the beans under cold water.
- 14. Add the beans to the tomatoes in the pot.
- 15. Pour the broth into the pot.
- 16. Bring the tomato mixture to a boil.
- 17. Add the pre-fried minced meat to the pot.
- 18. Add the diced bell peppers and chili.
- 19. Add the corn kernels to the pan.
- 20. Season the chili with chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- 21. Let everything simmer gently for another 5 minutes.
- 22. Fill the finished chili into small bowls.
