🍽️ Chilean Bread Fritters (Huevos tontos)

Ingredients
- 400 g white bread (stale)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the bread into coarse cubes.
- 2. Place the bread cubes in a little water for about 15 minutes.
- 3. Make sure the bread becomes soft but not mushy.
- 4. Peel the garlic.
- 5. Chop the garlic finely.
- 6. Add the garlic to the bread along with the eggs and parsley.
- 7. Mix everything with a fork.
- 8. Stir until a uniform, moldable mass is formed.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 10. Heat some oil in a pan.
- 11. Take one tablespoon of the mixture at a time.
- 12. Place small fritters portion by portion into the hot pan.
- 13. Flatten the fritters.
- 14. Fry the fritters on each side for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
- 15. Place the finished fritters on kitchen paper.
- 16. Drain the excess oil.
- 17. Serve the fritters garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
