🍽️ Crispy Chicken Wings with Spicy Dip Sauce

Ingredients
- 20 chicken wings
- 250 g ketchup
- 1 tsp paprika powder (mild sweet)
- 4 tbsp lime juice
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 150 g chunky tomatoes (can)
- 0.125 l chicken stock
- 2 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken wings under running water.
- 2. Pat the wings completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Add ketchup, paprika powder, lime juice, vinegar, and honey to a bowl.
- 4. Season the sauce generously with salt and pepper.
- 5. Toss the chicken wings in the sauce until they are fully coated.
- 6. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
- 7. Take the chicken wings out of the marinade the next day.
- 8. Pat the wings lightly to remove excess liquid.
- 9. Place the wings on a baking rack over a catch pan.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 11. Bake the wings for about 30 minutes using top and bottom heat.
- 12. Peel an onion and cut it into fine cubes.
- 13. Sauté the onion cubes in hot butter.
- 14. Add some meat stock and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 15. Stir in the rest of the marinade and the tomatoes.
- 16. Season the sauce finally with salt and pepper.
- 17. Sprinkle the warm sauce with fresh parsley.
- 18. Serve the sauce as a dip alongside the crispy chicken wings.
