🍽️ Mushroom Cheeseburger

Ingredients
- 1 Tomato
- 4 leaves Iceberg lettuce
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tbsp hot mustard
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 slices cheese (e.g. Butter cheese, young Gouda)
- 250 g mushrooms (e.g. oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms)
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomato under running water.
- 2. Cut the tomato in half and slice it into four even pieces.
- 3. Wash the lettuce thoroughly.
- 4. Shake the lettuce dry.
- 5. Set the dry lettuce aside.
- 6. Place the minced meat in a bowl.
- 7. Add the mustard to the minced meat.
- 8. Mix the meat and mustard well together.
- 9. Season the meat mixture with salt.
- 10. Season the meat mixture with pepper.
- 11. Form four burger patties (meat balls) from the mixture.
- 12. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan.
- 13. Fry the patties in the hot pan.
- 14. Fry the patties for about four minutes on the first side until golden brown.
- 15. Turn the patties and fry them for about four minutes on the second side until golden brown.
- 16. Place a slice of cheese on each finished patty.
- 17. Let the cheese melt on the patties.
- 18. Clean the mushrooms thoroughly.
- 19. Slice the mushrooms into strips or slices.
- 20. Heat oil in a second pan.
- 21. Fry the mushrooms in the hot pan.
- 22. Fry the mushrooms until light brown and soft.
- 23. Season the mushrooms with salt.
- 24. Season the mushrooms with pepper.
- 25. Cut the burger buns in half.
- 26. Toast the cut sides of the buns as desired.
- 27. Place one patty on the bottom half of a bun.
- 28. Add some mushrooms on top of the patty.
- 29. Place a tomato slice on the mushrooms.
- 30. Add the lettuce on top of the tomato slice.
- 31. Close the burger with the top half of the bun.
- 32. Serve the burgers with the remaining mushrooms.
