🍽️ Crispy Breaded Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 500 g mushrooms
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 150 g breadcrumbs
- 50 g grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt
- pepper (from a grinder)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and pat them dry.
- 2. Toss the mushrooms in flour so they are lightly dusted.
- 3. Whisk the eggs with the cream in a bowl.
- 4. Dip each mushroom one by one into the egg mixture.
- 5. Mix the breadcrumbs with the grated Parmesan and oregano.
- 6. Season the breadcrumb mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Coat the mushrooms in the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered.
- 8. Heat plenty of oil in a deep pan.
- 9. Fry the mushrooms in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
- 10. Turn the mushrooms occasionally while frying.
- 11. Place the finished mushrooms on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
- 12. Serve the mushrooms hot.
- 13. Optionally serve with dips such as chili sauce or aioli.
