  1. 1. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and pat them dry.
  2. 2. Toss the mushrooms in flour so they are lightly dusted.
  3. 3. Whisk the eggs with the cream in a bowl.
  4. 4. Dip each mushroom one by one into the egg mixture.
  5. 5. Mix the breadcrumbs with the grated Parmesan and oregano.
  6. 6. Season the breadcrumb mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7. Coat the mushrooms in the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered.
  8. 8. Heat plenty of oil in a deep pan.
  9. 9. Fry the mushrooms in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  10. 10. Turn the mushrooms occasionally while frying.
  11. 11. Place the finished mushrooms on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
  12. 12. Serve the mushrooms hot.
  13. 13. Optionally serve with dips such as chili sauce or aioli.
