🍽️ Cevapcici with Vegetable Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 garlic cloves
- 500 g ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 tsp paprika powder (sweet)
- 0.5 tsp paprika powder (hot)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- bell peppers (each 1/2 small red, green and yellow)
- 3 shallots
- 750 g tomatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves and press them into a bowl with the minced meat. Add one tablespoon of olive oil, one tablespoon of water, both types of peppers, salt, and pepper. Knead everything into a smooth dough. With moist hands, form 16 small rolls, each about 8 centimeters long.
- 2. Wash the peppers, remove the stem and the inside, cut them in half, and remove all white inner membranes. Dice the peppers very finely. Peel the shallots and the remaining garlic and dice them finely. Blanch the tomatoes, peel off the skin, and cut them into small cubes.
- 3. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pot. Sauté the shallots in it over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add the peppers, shallots, and garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer the sauce, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4. Heat a pan. Brush the cevapcici with a little oil and fry them all around for 10 minutes. Serve with the pepper-tomato sauce.
