Ingredients
- 750 g mixed berries (choose your own and season e.g. raspberries, wild strawberries, blueberries, currants...)
- 1 bottle dry, robust red wine
- 250 ml Cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)
- 0.5 cinnamon stick
- 5 cloves
Instructions
- 1. Carefully select the berries.
- 2. Remove the stems if necessary.
- 3. Gently wash the berries.
- 4. Pat the berries dry with a cloth.
- 5. Mix the berries together.
- 6. Distribute the berries evenly into the jars.
- 7. Put the wine, cassis liqueur, cinnamon, and cloves into a pot.
- 8. Bring the liquid to a boil.
- 9. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
- 10. Pour the hot liquid immediately over the berries in the jars.
- 11. Seal the jars tightly.
- 12. Place the sealed jars on their lids for 15 minutes.
- 13. Then turn the jars upside down.
- 14. Let the jars cool down completely.
- 15. The berries keep for about 6 months.
