  1. 1. Wash the pear and remove the stem.
  2. 2. Cut the fruit into approx. 1 cm cubes.
  3. 3. Place the pear pieces in a pan.
  4. 4. Add maple syrup, ground cloves, and apple juice.
  5. 5. Cook the mixture over medium heat for approx. 3 minutes.
  6. 6. Remove the pan from the heat and let the pears cool briefly.
  7. 7. Remove the carrot stems and peel them.
  8. 8. Grate the carrots finely.
  9. 9. Roughly chop the cranberries.
  10. 10. Place oat flakes, oat drink, cinnamon, salt, grated carrots, and cranberries in a pot.
  11. 11. Warm the ingredients over medium heat.
  12. 12. Reduce the heat to low.
  13. 13. Simmer the mixture while stirring constantly for approx. 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  14. 14. Roughly chop the pecans.
  15. 15. Divide the porridge among several plates.
  16. 16. Top with the spiced pears.
  17. 17. Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top as a garnish.
