🍽️ Cannelloni with Meat Filling and Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp alcohol-free red wine
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp medium-hot mustard
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 8 cannelloni
- 75 g finely grated Parmesan
- fresh herbs (for serving)
- 40 g salad
- 50 g cherry tomatoes
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the oven and set it to 200 degrees. If you use fan-assisted heat, set it to 180 degrees. For gas ovens, preheat to setting 3.
- 2. Peel the skin off the onion and the garlic clove.
- 3. Chop the onion and the garlic very finely.
- 4. Set aside half of the chopped garlic.
- 5. Stir the remaining garlic into the tomatoes.
- 6. Season the tomato mixture with salt, pepper, and wine.
- 7. Stir the tomato sauce well.
- 8. Set the sauce aside.
- 9. Grease the inside of the baking dish with a little oil.
- 10. Mix the minced meat with the chopped onions.
- 11. Add the remaining half of the garlic to the meat mixture.
- 12. Add the egg to the meat mixture.
- 13. Add the mustard to the meat mixture.
- 14. Add the thyme to the meat mixture.
- 15. Season the meat mixture generously with salt and pepper.
- 16. Fill the cannelloni tubes with the meat mixture.
- 17. Place the filled cannelloni side by side in the baking dish.
- 18. Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the cannelloni.
- 19. Sprinkle the cheese over the sauce.
- 20. Bake the cannelloni in the oven for about 40 minutes.
- 21. Wash the salad greens and the herbs.
- 22. Shake the vegetables and herbs dry.
- 23. Wash the cherry tomatoes.
- 24. Pat the cherry tomatoes dry.
- 25. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- 26. Plate the cannelloni.
- 27. Serve the cannelloni together with the salad, herbs, and halved cherry tomatoes.
