🍽️ Crispy Tofu Mango Burgers

Ingredients
- 400 g smoked tofu
- frying oil
- 1 ball mozzarella
- 1 onion
- 1 small garlic clove
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tomatoes
- 100 g arugula
- 1 mango
- 4 ciabatta rolls
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Cut the tofu into 8 equal slices.
- 3. Fry the tofu slices in hot frying oil until golden yellow.
- 4. Place the fried tofu slices on a kitchen towel to drain excess fat.
- 5. Cut the mozzarella into 8 thin slices.
- 6. Top half of the tofu slices with two mozzarella slices each.
- 7. Cover the topped tofu slices with the remaining tofu slices to form small tofu sandwiches.
- 8. Place the tofu sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 9. Bake the tofu sandwiches in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- 10. Peel the onion and garlic.
- 11. Cut the onion into thin strips.
- 12. Chop the garlic finely.
- 13. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 14. Sauté the onion strips and chopped garlic in the pan.
- 15. Season the onion and garlic mixture with salt and pepper.
- 16. Slice the tomatoes.
- 17. Top the bottom halves of the burger buns with arugula.
- 18. Place the baked tofu sandwiches on the arugula.
- 19. Cover the tofu sandwiches with the tomato slices.
- 20. Distribute the seasoned onion mixture over the tomatoes.
- 21. Place the mango slices on top of the onion mixture.
- 22. Sprinkle a little pepper over the mango slices.
- 23. Cover the burgers with the top halves of the burger buns.
- 24. Serve the burgers immediately.
