🍽️ Burgers with homemade relish

Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 1 red chili pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 100 ml grape juice (white)
- 250 g blue seedless grapes
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 400 g minced meat (mixed)
- 4 rolls (sesame as desired)
- 1 tomato
- 4 lettuce leaves (e.g. Lollo bionda)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and dice them into very small cubes.
- 2. Wash the chili pepper.
- 3. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 5. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 6. Heat a pot and add one tablespoon of oil.
- 7. Add the onions and the chili to the hot pot.
- 8. Sauté the vegetables until they are lightly golden brown.
- 9. Deglaze the vegetables with the grape juice.
- 10. Wash the grapes.
- 11. Halve the grapes.
- 12. Add the grapes to the mixture in the pot.
- 13. Let the mixture simmer for about 25 minutes.
- 14. Stir the mixture occasionally while cooking.
- 15. Season the relish with honey, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- 16. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 17. Let the relish cool down.
- 18. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper.
- 19. Shape four burger patties from the meat.
- 20. Heat a pan and add the remaining oil.
- 21. Fry the burger patties in the hot pan.
- 22. Fry the burgers for about 6 minutes until golden brown.
- 23. Cut the buns horizontally in half.
- 24. Lightly toast the cut sides of the buns.
- 25. Wash the tomato.
- 26. Cut out the stem area from the tomato.
- 27. Slice the tomato into thin slices.
- 28. Wash the lettuce.
- 29. Remove damaged leaves from the lettuce.
- 30. Shake the lettuce dry.
- 31. Place the lettuce on the bottom halves of the buns.
- 32. Place the burger patties on the lettuce.
- 33. Distribute the tomato slices on top of the burgers.
- 34. Close the burgers with the top halves of the buns.
- 35. Serve the burgers with the cooled relish.
