  1. 1. Put the minced meat, mustard, chopped parsley, and egg into a bowl.
  2. 2. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands.
  4. 4. Shape four equal-sized burger patties (flattened meat balls).
  5. 5. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan.
  6. 6. Place the patties in the hot pan.
  7. 7. Fry the burgers for about six to eight minutes on the first side until golden brown.
  8. 8. Turn the patties once.
  9. 9. Fry the second side for another six to eight minutes until golden brown.
  10. 10. Wash the lettuce under running water.
  11. 11. Remove the tough stems (the hard bottom parts of the leaves).
  12. 12. Shake the lettuce dry.
  13. 13. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  14. 14. Peel the onions.
  15. 15. Slice the onions into thin rings.
  16. 16. Wash the tomato.
  17. 17. Remove the hard stem area at the top of the tomato.
  18. 18. Cut the tomato into eight thick slices.
  19. 19. Heat the remaining oil in a grill pan.
  20. 20. Fry the onion rings for about five minutes until golden brown.
  21. 21. Add the tomato slices during the last one to two minutes.
  22. 22. Place one slice of cheese on each burger patty.
  23. 23. Let the cheese melt briefly.
  24. 24. Slice the buns horizontally in the middle.
  25. 25. Toast the cut sides of the buns in the pan until golden brown.
  26. 26. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun.
  27. 27. Place the burger patty with the melted cheese on top.
  28. 28. Add the fried onions on top.
  29. 29. Place the fried tomato slices on top.
  30. 30. Season everything once more with salt and pepper.
  31. 31. Cover the burgers with the top half of the buns.
