🍽️ Crispy Chicken Burgers with Fried Onion Rings

Ingredients
- 2 Onions
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp Flour
- Vegetable oil (for frying and deep-frying)
- 300 g Chicken breast fillet
- 1 Red onion
- 4 Leaves Lollo bionda
- 80 g Cream cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped Basil
- 1 drop Lemon juice
- 40 g Dried tomatoes (preserved in oil)
- 4 Burger buns
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and slice them into thick rings.
- 2. Season the onion rings with salt and pepper.
- 3. Toss the onion rings in flour until they are fully coated.
- 4. Fry the onion rings in batches for 3 to 4 minutes in hot oil.
- 5. Cook the rings until they are golden brown.
- 6. Place the fried rings on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
- 7. Rinse the chicken breast fillets.
- 8. Pat the meat dry with a cloth.
- 9. Cut the meat into four equal slices.
- 10. Pound the slices flat if they are too thick.
- 11. Season the chicken slices with salt and pepper.
- 12. Heat a grill pan with one tablespoon of oil.
- 13. Grill the chicken slices for about 5 minutes on each side.
- 14. Peel another onion.
- 15. Slice this onion into rings.
- 16. Wash the leaf lettuce under running water.
- 17. Remove the tough stems from the lettuce.
- 18. Shake the lettuce dry.
- 19. Tear the lettuce leaves into small pieces.
- 20. Mix the cream cheese with the basil.
- 21. Season the cream cheese mixture with lemon juice.
- 22. Add salt and pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
- 23. Pat the tomatoes dry.
- 24. Chop the tomatoes roughly.
- 25. Slice the buns horizontally.
- 26. Place the lettuce on the bottom bun halves.
- 27. Add the raw onion rings on top of the lettuce.
- 28. Place the grilled chicken slices on the onions.
- 29. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bun halves.
- 30. Scatter the chopped tomatoes on the chicken.
- 31. Add the fried onion rings on top.
- 32. Cover the burgers with the top bun halves.
