Ingredients
- 250 g mixed greens (corn salad, radicchio, iceberg lettuce)
- 2 small apples
- juice of one lemon
- 1 small carrot
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 5 tbsp germ oil
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- parsley
Instructions
- 1. Wash the salad leaves thoroughly.
- 2. Remove wilted or damaged leaves.
- 3. Spin the salad dry.
- 4. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 5. Peel the apples.
- 6. Cut the apples into quarters.
- 7. Remove the core.
- 8. Slice the apple wedges into thin strips.
- 9. Drizzle the apple strips with lemon juice immediately.
- 10. Grate the carrot lengthwise into thin slices.
- 11. Cut the carrot slices into long, thin strips.
- 12. Whisk the vinegar with salt and pepper.
- 13. Stir the oil into the vinegar mixture.
- 14. Pour the dressing over the salad.
- 15. Toss the salad until evenly coated.
- 16. Arrange the salad on plates.
- 17. Sprinkle the salad with sunflower seeds.
- 18. Garnish the salad with parsley.
- 19. Serve the salad.
