  4. 4. Wash the bell pepper, halve it, and remove the seeds.
  5. 5. Cut the bell pepper into cubes.
  6. 6. Pour boiling water over the plum tomato.
  7. 7. Remove the skin of the tomato.
  8. 8. Halve the tomato and remove the seeds.
  9. 9. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
  10. 10. Wash the basil and cut it into thin strips.
  11. 11. Heat the oil in a pan.
  12. 12. Add the vegetables (except the basil) to the pan.
  13. 13. Sauté the mixture over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
  14. 14. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Drain the liquid that has formed.
  16. 16. Toast the white bread slices in the grill, oven, or toaster until golden brown.
  17. 17. Mix the basil into the vegetables.
  18. 18. Distribute the vegetable-basil mixture on the toasted bread.
  19. 19. Plate the bruschetta.
