  1. 1. Heat the oat drink in a pot. Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Add the vanilla seeds, the empty pod, cardamom, cinnamon, cocoa, and cane sugar to the oat drink. Stir everything and bring it to a boil.
  2. 2. Stir in the buckwheat. Let the mixture come to a boil briefly, then let it swell for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3. Meanwhile, peel the banana and slice the flesh. Heat the butter in a pan and lightly brown the banana slices over medium heat.
  4. 4. Fill the buckwheat porridge into small bowls and serve garnished with the banana slices, cocoa nibs, and chia seeds.
