  1. 1. Put the flour, butter, 200 milliliters of water, and a pinch of salt into a bowl.
  2. 2. Knead the ingredients quickly into a smooth dough.
  3. 3. Shape the dough into a ball.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
  5. 5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Divide the dough into four equal parts after the chilling time.
  7. 7. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  8. 8. Roll each dough part on the floured surface to a thickness of about 4 millimeters.
  9. 9. Cut out or roll six animal heads from each dough part.
  10. 10. Optionally use a template for the shapes.
  11. 11. Place the cut-out shapes on a baking sheet.
  12. 12. Gather the remaining dough scraps.
  13. 13. Knead the scraps back together into a new dough.
  14. 14. Roll the new dough out again on a floured surface.
  15. 15. Cut out more animal heads from this dough as well.
  16. 16. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  17. 17. Place the baking sheet with the cookies on the middle rack.
  18. 18. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes.

  24. 24. Mix powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth.
  25. 25. Fill the sugar mixture into a small piping bag.
  26. 26. Pipe eyes, nose, and mouth onto the animal heads.
