  2. 2. Wash the peppers thoroughly.
  3. 3. Cut the peppers in half.
  4. 4. Remove the seeds and the white pith from the pepper halves.
  5. 5. Place the pepper halves skin-side up on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  6. 6. Grill the peppers for about 10 minutes until the skin blisters.
  7. 7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  8. 8. Cover the hot peppers with a damp cloth.
  9. 9. Let the peppers cool under the cloth.
  10. 10. Peel the browned skin off the peppers.
  11. 11. Cut the peeled vegetable into thin strips.
  12. 12. Mix the pepper strips with the remaining oil.
  13. 13. Season the peppers with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  14. 14. Cut the ciabatta bread into about 8 thick slices.
  15. 15. Grill the bread slices on both sides until golden brown.
  16. 16. Remove the toasted bread slices from the oven.
  17. 17. Cut the garlic clove in half.
  18. 18. Rub the cut sides of the garlic over the warm bread slices.
  19. 19. Distribute the seasoned pepper strips on the bread slices.
