  1. 1. Wash the spring onions thoroughly. Slice them into very fine rings, using only the light green parts. Mix these rings with the lemon juice. Then wash the tomatoes and slice them into thin rounds.
  2. 2. Take the cream cheese and stir it until smooth with the olive oil, the remaining lemon juice, and the prepared spring onion rings. Finally, season the mixture to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Place a few fresh basil leaves on the two slices of bread. Spread the cream cheese and onion mixture evenly over them. Cover the slices with the tomato rounds and garnish with additional basil leaves.
