🍽️ Crispy Rolls with Cheese, Nuts, and Cherries

Ingredients
- 4 flat rolls (e.g. baguette or ciabatta rolls)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 200 g cheese (Queso Manchego Semicurado, Spanish cheese made from goat, sheep, and cow milk)
- 30 g almond kernels
- 30 g walnut kernels
- 16 cherries
- 4 tbsp pesto
- fresh sprouts (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the oven and set it to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Cut the rolls horizontally in the middle.
- 3. Brush the cut sides of the rolls generously with the olive oil.
- 4. Slice the cheese into eight equal, thin pieces.
- 5. Place the roll halves with the oiled side facing up on a baking sheet.
- 6. Cover each roll half with a slice of cheese.
- 7. Roughly chop the almonds and walnuts into small pieces.
- 8. Wash the cherries under running water.
- 9. Remove the pits from the washed cherries.
- 10. Distribute the chopped nuts evenly over the cheese slices.
- 11. Add the pitted cherries to the rolls as well.
- 12. Drizzle the pesto over the topped roll halves.
- 13. Place the tray into the preheated oven.
- 14. Bake the rolls until golden brown for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 15. Remove the rolls from the oven and serve them warm.
- 16. Garnish the finished rolls with fresh sprouts.
