🍽️ Buns Stuffed with Tomato Meatballs

Ingredients
- 300 g tomatoes
- 200 g minced meat
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.25 green bell pepper
- 2 baguette rolls
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
Instructions
- 1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes briefly.
- 2. Immediately plunge them into cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 3. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 4. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 5. Remove the seeds from the flesh.
- 6. Dice the flesh into small cubes.
- 7. Place the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, half a teaspoon of oregano, and tomato ketchup in a bowl.
- 8. Mix all the filling ingredients well together.
- 9. Roll the meat mixture into small balls.
- 10. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
- 11. Brown the meatballs on all sides over medium heat.
- 12. Add the diced tomatoes to the pan.
- 13. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and the remaining oregano.
- 14. Simmer the filling covered over low heat for about 10 minutes.
- 15. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly.
- 16. Remove the stem of the bell pepper.
- 17. Cut the bell pepper in half.
- 18. Remove the seeds and all white inner membranes.
- 19. Dice the bell pepper vegetable finely.
- 20. Slice the buns lengthwise.
- 21. Do not cut all the way through to create large pockets.
- 22. Brush the inside of the buns with the butter.
- 23. Fill the buns with the tomato and meatball mixture.
- 24. Sprinkle the diced bell pepper over the filling.
- 25. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over it.
- 26. Serve the buns immediately.
