  2. 2. Rinse the fresh basil leaves under running water.
  3. 3. Shake the leaves dry so that no water remains on them.
  4. 4. Chop the basil very finely.
  5. 5. Add all types of flour, the cornstarch, the baking powder, and the salt to a large mixing bowl.
  6. 6. Whisk the vinegar, the butter, and 375 milliliters of water in a separate container.
  7. 7. Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  8. 8. Knead the ingredients into a smooth and well-formable dough.
  9. 9. Work the diced tomatoes and the chopped basil evenly into the dough.
  10. 10. Divide the dough into eight equal pieces.
  11. 11. Shape each piece into a small bun.
  12. 12. Lightly dust your hands with rice flour so that the dough does not stick.
  13. 13. Place the buns on a baking sheet that you have lined with baking paper.
  14. 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius with convection or gas level 3).
  15. 15. Bake the buns until golden brown for about 30 minutes.
  16. 16. Remove the buns from the oven and place them on a kitchen rack.
