🍽️ Buns with Meat Patties

Ingredients
- 1 red onion
- 400 g ground beef
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tomato
- 2 pickles
- 2 lettuce leaves (e.g. head lettuce)
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 4 whole grain rolls
- 4 tbsp ketchup
Instructions
- 1. Peel the red onion.
- 2. Dice one half of the onion into very small cubes.
- 3. Slice the other half of the onion into thin rings.
- 4. Mix the diced onion with the minced meat.
- 5. Season the meat mixture generously with salt and pepper.
- 6. Wash the tomato thoroughly.
- 7. Remove the hard stem base from the tomato.
- 8. Slice the flesh of the tomato into rounds.
- 9. Slice the gherkins into thin rounds.
- 10. Wash the lettuce leaves.
- 11. Shake the lettuce leaves dry.
- 12. Tear the lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 13. Shape the minced meat mixture into four equal-sized meat patties.
- 14. Heat oil in a pan.
- 15. Fry the meat patties in the hot pan on each side for about 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- 16. Slice the buns horizontally in the middle.
- 17. Spread ketchup on the bottom half of each bun.
- 18. Place the lettuce leaves on the buns.
- 19. Place the gherkin slices on the lettuce.
- 20. Place the meat patties on the gherkins.
- 21. Place the tomato slices on the meat patties.
- 22. Place the onion rings on the tomatoes.
- 23. Decorate the finished burgers as you like with small flag-shaped toothpicks.
- 24. Serve the burgers immediately.
