  1. 1. Slice the boiled potatoes into rounds about 1 centimeter thick.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.
  3. 3. Heat a large non-stick pan, add the oil, and spread it evenly using a brush.
  4. 4. Place the potato slices side by side in the pan and fry them over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Turn the slices over with a spatula and fry them on the other side for another 5 to 6 minutes.
  6. 6. Distribute the onion rings over the potatoes and season everything with salt and pepper.
  7. 7. Place small pieces of butter on the potatoes. Shake the pan briefly once the butter melts to distribute it evenly.
  8. 8. Continue frying over low heat for another 5 minutes, turning the potatoes several times. This ensures they turn nicely brown without burning.
