🍽️ Crispy Fried Potatoes with Melted Cheese

Ingredients
- 800 g firm-boiling peeled potatoes (from the day before)
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 300 g meat sausage
- 300 g cocktail tomatoes
- 100 g Edam
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- paprika powder (mildly sweet)
- 2 tsp dried herbs of Provence
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes.
- 2. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- 3. Heat the ghee in a large pan.
- 4. Fry the potato slices for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- 5. Turn the potatoes occasionally.
- 6. Remove the meat sausage from its casing.
- 7. Cut the sausage in half lengthwise.
- 8. Slice the sausage into approximately 1 cm thick pieces.
- 9. Wash the cherry tomatoes.
- 10. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 11. Grate the cheese or cut it into small cubes.
- 12. Season the fried potatoes with salt.
- 13. Season the fried potatoes with pepper.
- 14. Season the fried potatoes with paprika powder.
- 15. Fold in the meat sausage slices.
- 16. Fry the sausage briefly.
- 17. Place the tomato quarters on top of the potatoes.
- 18. Sprinkle Herbs de Provence over everything.
- 19. Distribute the cheese evenly over everything.
- 20. Cover the pan.
- 21. Let the cheese melt over low heat for about 5 minutes.
