Ingredients
- 12 potatoes
- 50 g butter
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp lemon (-rind)
- 1 tsp lemon (-juice)
- salt
- seasoning blend
- lemon pepper
- dried or fresh thyme
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes under running water.
- 2. Peel the potatoes completely.
- 3. Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Peel the onion.
- 5. Chop the onion into very small cubes.
- 6. Squeeze the lemon to extract the juice.
- 7. Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds using a vegetable peeler.
- 8. Melt the butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- 9. Add the onion cubes to the pan.
- 10. Sauté the onions until they are soft and translucent.
- 11. Add the lemon zest to the pan.
- 12. Add the lemon juice to the pan.
- 13. Add the potato slices to the pan.
- 14. Season the potatoes with salt.
- 15. Season the potatoes with the herb mix.
- 16. Season the potatoes with lemon pepper.
- 17. Season the potatoes with thyme.
- 18. Fry the potatoes in layers over low heat.
- 19. Place the lid on the pan.
- 20. Cook the potatoes gently for 30 minutes.
- 21. Turn the potatoes after 10 minutes.
- 22. Turn the potatoes after another 10 minutes.
- 23. Serve the crispy pan-fried potatoes with fish, meat, or chicken.
