🍰 Vegan Baked Apples

Ingredients
- 15 g cracked spelt (à 1 tbsp)
- 40 ml apple juice
- 4 hazelnut kernels
- 1 tbsp unsulfured raisins
- 1 pinch cinnamon (preferably Ceylon cinnamon)
- 150 g apples (à 1 apple)
Instructions
- 1. Put spelt groats and apple juice into a small bowl.
- 2. Let the mixture soak for one hour.
- 3. Put the soaked spelt mixture, hazelnuts, and raisins into a blender or use a hand blender.
- 4. Chop everything into a fine mass.
- 5. Season the filling with a pinch of cinnamon.
- 6. Wash the apple thoroughly.
- 7. Dry the apple with a cloth.
- 8. Cut off the top part of the apple to use as a lid.
- 9. Remove the core generously with a corer or a spoon.
- 10. Place the hollowed-out apple in a small baking dish.
- 11. Fill the apple with the spelt mixture.
- 12. Place the apple lid back on.
- 13. Add three tablespoons of water to the baking dish.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
- 15. Bake the apples for about 20 minutes.
- 16. Remove the apples from the oven.
- 17. Let the apples cool down briefly.
- 18. Serve the baked apples warm.
