🍰 Baked Apple with Vanilla Sauce

Ingredients
- 6 tart apples
- 2 tbsp ground almond kernels
- 30 g butter
- 2 tbsp toasted almond slices
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 150 g marzipan raw mass
- 3 lingonberries (from the jar)
- 30 g crumbled amarettini
- 2 tbsp chopped almond kernels
- 2 tbsp rum raisins
- cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
- 1 l milk
- 80 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod (scraped seeds)
- 3 drops butter-vanilla flavoring
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the vanilla sauce: Mix pudding powder with 1 liter of milk and sugar according to the package instructions. Stir in the vanilla seeds and butter-vanilla aroma. Let the sauce cool down.
- 2. Wash the apples. Use an apple corer to remove the core. Cut a small lid off each apple.
- 3. Dice the marzipan base. Stir in the cranberries. Add the remaining filling ingredients and mix everything well.
- 4. Place the apples in a greased, heatproof dish. Fill them with the marzipan mixture and place the small apple lid on top as a cap. Sprinkle ground almonds over them. Distribute small butter flakes between the apples.
- 5. Bake the apples in the preheated oven at 200 degrees on the lowest rack for approx. 40 minutes. Remove them, sprinkle with toasted almond slices and dust with powdered sugar. Serve with the vanilla sauce.
