🍰 Oven Apples with Creamy Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients
- 30 g raisins (2 tbsp)
- 80 ml apple juice
- 4 apples
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 vanilla pod
- 30 g chopped almond kernels (2 tbsp)
- 30 g almond butter (2 tbsp)
- 45 g agave syrup (3 tbsp)
- 30 g oat flakes (2 tbsp)
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 200 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- 1 small pinch turmeric powder
Instructions
- 1. Place the raisins in the apple juice.
- 2. Let the raisins soak for ten minutes.
- 3. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 4. Remove the core of the apples using a corer.
- 5. Cut slightly into the top of the apples with a knife.
- 6. Drizzle the apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- 7. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise in half.
- 8. Scrape out the seeds of the vanilla pod with a knife.
- 9. Drain the raisins.
- 10. Save the liquid from the raisins.
- 11. Pour the raisin liquid into a baking dish.
- 12. Mix the drained raisins with the almonds.
- 13. Add the almond butter to the mixture.
- 14. Add two tablespoons of agave syrup.
- 15. Add the oat flakes to the mixture.
- 16. Season the filling with cinnamon.
- 17. Add half of the vanilla seeds to the filling.
- 18. Fill the apples with the prepared mixture.
- 19. Place the filled apples in the baking dish.
- 20. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat.
- 21. Bake the apples for twenty minutes in the oven.
- 22. Stir the yogurt in a separate bowl.
- 23. Add the remaining vanilla seeds to the yogurt.
- 24. Add turmeric to the yogurt.
- 25. Sweeten the yogurt sauce with the rest of the agave syrup.
- 26. Remove the baked apples from the oven.
- 27. Serve the apples together with the yogurt sauce.
