  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the chicken liver under running water.
  2. 2. Push the liver through the fine blade of your meat grinder.
  3. 3. Peel the onion.
  4. 4. Grind the peeled onion together with the toast bread using the meat grinder.
  5. 5. Cut the blood sausage into small cubes.
  6. 6. Wash the parsley under cold water.
  7. 7. Shake the parsley dry.
  8. 8. Finely chop the parsley.
  9. 9. Mix the liver, the onion-bread mixture, the blood sausage cubes, and the parsley in a bowl.
  10. 10. Add the eggs to the mixture.
  11. 11. Mix all filling ingredients well together.
  12. 12. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  13. 13. Cut the apples in half.
  14. 14. Remove the core of the apple halves using a melon baller.
  15. 15. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  16. 16. Place the apple halves side by side in the prepared dish.
  17. 17. Fill the apple halves with the liver mixture.
  18. 18. Season the filling lightly with pepper.
  19. 19. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
  20. 20. Place the dish in the preheated oven.
  21. 21. Bake the apples for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  22. 22. Take the dish out of the oven.
  23. 23. Taste the filling again.
  24. 24. Pour some apple wine over the apples if necessary.
  25. 25. Bake the stuffed apples for another 30 minutes in the oven.
  26. 26. Take the finished apples out of the oven.
  27. 27. Garnish the apples with fresh basil.
  28. 28. Serve the apples warm.
