🍰 Baked Apples with Nut and Marzipan Filling

Ingredients
- 6 small apples (Boskop)
- 30 g marzipan raw mass
- 50 g chopped hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 10 g butter
- 1 unpeeled orange
- 30 g chopped pistachio kernels
- 6 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- butter (for the pot)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apples and remove the core using an apple corer. Mix the butter with the hazelnuts, marzipan raw mass, and sugar. Fill this mixture into the hollowed-out apples. Use a zester to remove fine strips of zest from the orange peel.
- 2. Grease a ceramic baking dish generously with butter. Place the filled apples inside and top them with the orange zest, pistachio kernels, and star anise. Add two cinnamon sticks to the dish. Roast the apples in the oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serve the result directly in the baking dish.
