🍽️ Oven-Baked Cod with Green Beans

Ingredients
- 500 g green beans
- 2 cod fillets (approx. 250 g each)
- 3 tbsp dill (finely chopped)
- 1 turnip (shaved into thin slices)
- butter
- salt
- pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Instructions
- 1. Turn on your oven to 200 degrees Celsius and preheat it.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the green beans.
- 3. Trim the hard ends off the beans.
- 4. Cut the beans into bite-sized pieces.
- 5. Bring water to a boil in a pot and add some salt.
- 6. Boil the beans in the boiling salted water for 6 to 8 minutes (this short cooking process is called blanching).
- 7. Drain the beans in a colander and let them drain well.
- 8. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan.
- 9. Sauté the drained beans briefly in the melted butter.
- 10. Season the beans with salt and pepper to taste.
- 11. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
- 12. Drizzle some lemon juice over the seasoned fillets.
- 13. Take a baking dish and place 4 to 5 small cubes of butter on the bottom.
- 14. Place the cod fillets on the butter in the dish.
- 15. Distribute the sautéed beans evenly over the fillets.
- 16. Place the prepared turnips on top of the beans.
- 17. Spread some fresh dill over the entire dish.
- 18. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
- 19. Bake the cod for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 20. Remove the dish from the oven and serve it immediately while warm.
