  1. 1. Wash the beans, trim the ends, and cut them into pieces about 3 centimeters long. Bring plenty of water to a boil, add the beans, and cook them for about 10 minutes until tender but firm. Drain them, shock them with cold water, and let them drain well.
  2. 2. Wash the tomatoes. Cut a small cross into the bottom of each tomato, pour boiling water over them briefly, shock them with cold water, and peel off the skin. Cut the peeled tomatoes into quarters and then into small cubes.
  3. 3. Peel the onion and garlic and chop both finely. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic in it until translucent. Add the beans and fry them over high heat, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in the tomato cubes and let them simmer briefly. Season the dish with thyme, pepper, and salt. Serve the bean and tomato mixture.
