  1. 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  2. 2. Peel the potatoes.
  3. 3. Cut the potatoes into approx. 2 cm cubes.
  4. 4. Boil the potato cubes in salted water for 15 to 20 minutes until tender but firm.
  5. 5. Wash and sort the beans.
  6. 6. Boil the beans for approx. 2 minutes in salted water (this is called blanching, i.e., cooking briefly in boiling water).
  7. 7. Remove the beans.
  8. 8. Rinse the beans with cold water.
  9. 9. Let the beans drain.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic.
  11. 11. Peel the onion.
  12. 12. Cut the garlic and onion into fine cubes.
  13. 13. Cut the cheese into thin strips.
  14. 14. Drain the cooked potatoes.
  15. 15. Let the potatoes steam dry for a moment.
  16. 16. Fry the potatoes in a pan with melted butter until golden brown on all sides.
  17. 17. Heat oil in a second pan.
  18. 18. Sauté the garlic and onions for 1 to 2 minutes until translucent (until they are soft and see-through).
  19. 19. Add the beans, cranberries, and cheese.
  20. 20. Toss everything briefly.
  21. 21. Serve the beans together with the fried potatoes on a pre-warmed plate.
  22. 22. Garnish with parsley leaves.
