🍽️ Crispy Fried Potatoes with a Cheesy Bean Skillet

Ingredients
- 600 g firm-cooking potatoes
- salt
- 600 g green beans
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- 150 g smoked cheese (e.g. Scamorza)
- 20 g butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 150 g cranberries
- parsley
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the potatoes.
- 3. Cut the potatoes into approx. 2 cm cubes.
- 4. Boil the potato cubes in salted water for 15 to 20 minutes until tender but firm.
- 5. Wash and sort the beans.
- 6. Boil the beans for approx. 2 minutes in salted water (this is called blanching, i.e., cooking briefly in boiling water).
- 7. Remove the beans.
- 8. Rinse the beans with cold water.
- 9. Let the beans drain.
- 10. Peel the garlic.
- 11. Peel the onion.
- 12. Cut the garlic and onion into fine cubes.
- 13. Cut the cheese into thin strips.
- 14. Drain the cooked potatoes.
- 15. Let the potatoes steam dry for a moment.
- 16. Fry the potatoes in a pan with melted butter until golden brown on all sides.
- 17. Heat oil in a second pan.
- 18. Sauté the garlic and onions for 1 to 2 minutes until translucent (until they are soft and see-through).
- 19. Add the beans, cranberries, and cheese.
- 20. Toss everything briefly.
- 21. Serve the beans together with the fried potatoes on a pre-warmed plate.
- 22. Garnish with parsley leaves.
