🍽️ Cheese Bean Packets with Fried Potatoes

Ingredients
- 800 g firm-cooking potatoes (8 firm-cooking potatoes)
- salt
- 750 g green beans
- 1 bunch basil
- 2 onions
- 300 g young Gouda (30% fat in dry matter; 10 slices)
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Place the potatoes in a pot with salted water.
- 3. Put a lid on the pot.
- 4. Cook the potatoes for about 15 minutes.
- 5. Wash the beans while the potatoes are cooking.
- 6. Trim the ends off the beans.
- 7. Wash the savory herb.
- 8. Shake the savory herb dry.
- 9. Bring 200 milliliters of salted water to a boil.
- 10. Add the beans and the savory herb to the boiling water.
- 11. Cook the beans and the herb for about 10 minutes.
- 12. Drain the potatoes.
- 13. Rinse the potatoes under cold running water.
- 14. Peel the cooled potatoes.
- 15. Place the peeled potatoes in a bowl.
- 16. Let the potatoes cool down in the bowl.
- 17. Drain the beans and the herb.
- 18. Remove the savory herb from the mixture.
- 19. Peel the onions.
- 20. Cut the onions into fine cubes.
- 21. Take the cheese slices.
- 22. Cut each cheese slice diagonally in half.
- 23. You should now have 20 cheese triangles.
- 24. Divide the beans into 20 small portions.
- 25. Bundle each bean portion together.
- 26. Wrap a cheese triangle around each bean bundle.
- 27. Place the cheese-bean packets in a large, shallow baking dish.
- 28. The dish should be approximately 35 by 22 centimeters.
- 29. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
- 30. Place the dish on the middle rack.
- 31. Bake the packets for about 10 minutes.
- 32. The cheese should be melted.
- 33. Slice the cooled potatoes.
- 34. Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan.
- 35. Place the potato slices and onion cubes in the pan.
- 36. Fry the ingredients over medium heat.
- 37. Fry them for 7 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
- 38. Season the fried potatoes with salt.
- 39. Season them additionally with pepper.
- 40. Serve the fried potatoes together with the cheese-bean packets.
