🍰 Sheet Cake with Red Grapes

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 cube yeast
- 200 ml lukewarm milk
- 150 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 kg wine grapes (blue, alternatively also white)
- 6 tbsp sunflower oil
- flour (for working)
Instructions
- 1. Put the flour into a large bowl and sift it there.
- 2. Make a small indentation in the center.
- 3. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk.
- 4. Add the yeast milk along with half of the sugar and the salt to the indentation.
- 5. Let this starter dough rise in a warm place for 15 minutes, covered.
- 6. Add the egg.
- 7. Knead everything into a smooth dough using the dough hooks of the mixer.
- 8. Let the dough rise for another 20 minutes.
- 9. Knead it briefly.
- 10. Let it rest for another 20 to 25 minutes.
- 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 12. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 13. Wash the grapes.
- 14. Remove them from the stems.
- 15. Pit them if desired or use seedless grapes.
- 16. Knead the dough well again.
- 17. Roll it out to twice the size of the baking sheet.
- 18. Cover half of the dough with about three-quarters of the grapes.
- 19. Sprinkle half of the remaining sugar over it.
- 20. Drizzle half of the oil over it.
- 21. Fold the uncovered half of the dough over it.
- 22. Distribute the remaining grapes on the dough surface.
- 23. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
- 24. Drizzle with the remaining oil.
- 25. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 26. Then reduce the temperature to 150 degrees.
- 27. Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 28. Cover the cake with aluminum foil in time if it gets too dark.
