Ingredients
- 1 kg waxy potatoes
- 50 ml olive oil
- salt
- pepper from the mill
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius using conventional heat. If you use a fan oven, set it to 180 degrees Celsius. For gas ovens, use setting 3.
- 2. Peel the potatoes and cut them in half.
- 3. Rinse the potato halves under running water.
- 4. Pat the potatoes completely dry with a kitchen towel or paper towel.
- 5. Place the dry potatoes into a bowl.
- 6. Add the oil and mix everything well so that the potatoes are thinly coated with oil.
- 7. Season the potatoes generously with salt and pepper.
- 8. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 9. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven.
- 10. Bake the potatoes for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 11. Turn the potatoes once halfway through the baking time.
- 12. Remove the potatoes from the oven when they are golden brown and crispy.
- 13. Serve the potatoes directly while warm.
