🍽️ Blaue Zipfl (Nuremberg Bratwursts in Vinegar-Onion Sauce)

Ingredients
- 5 Onions
- 1 Carrot
- 500 ml dry White Wine
- 500 ml White Wine Vinegar
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 5 Bay Leaves
- 1 tbsp Pepper Corns
- 1 tbsp Juniper Berries
- Sugar
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 600 g Nuremberg Roast Sausages
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Peel the carrot and slice it as well.
- 2. Place the sausages in the sauce and let them steep for about 20 minutes.
- 3. Serve the sausages with the onion sauce in soup plates or small bowls. Fresh Franconian peasant bread goes perfectly with this.
