Ingredients
- 24 Herrings (filleted)
- 0.75 l cold water
- 0.75 l herb vinegar (5% acidity)
- 3 tbsp salt (no iodized salt!)
- 6 tbsp sugar (to taste, use less sugar if you want the herrings to be a bit more sour)
- 1 pinch cooking fish spice
- ground pepper
- 1 carrot (sliced)
- 0.5 celeriac (sliced)
- 1 onion
Instructions
- 1. Bring the marinade to a boil and let the herrings marinate in it for at least two days.
- 2. Then add thinly sliced onion rings and serve the dish.
