🍰 Homemade Pear Compote

Ingredients
- 3 kg pears
- 2 untreated lemons (juice)
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp cloves
- 400 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears, cut them in half, and remove the core. Drizzle a little lemon juice over the pieces to prevent browning, and layer them in clean, sterilized jars. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- 2. Bring about 1 liter of water and the sugar to a boil, then let the mixture bubble vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the sugar syrup over the pears so that they are completely covered.
- 3. Seal the jars tightly and place them in a large pot containing 1 liter of hot water. Let them process in the pot for 20 minutes. Store the jars in a dark and cool place afterwards.
