  1. 1. Wash the pear thoroughly and pat it dry. Cut the fruit in half and remove the hard core. Cut the soft flesh into small cubes.
  2. 2. Place the pear pieces in a small pot and mix them with the apple juice. Bring the mixture to a boil. Let the pot simmer covered over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool down briefly.
  3. 3. Place the toast crumb pieces in a freezer bag. Crush the pieces with a rolling pin until they break down into coarse crumbs.
  4. 4. Add the crumbs and the oil to the cooked pear mixture. Mash everything together with a fork until a creamy porridge forms. If the porridge seems too thick, stir in a little more apple juice. Feed the baby immediately.
