  2. 2. Cut the pears in half.
  3. 3. Remove the core.
  4. 4. Cut the flesh into finger-thick strips.
  5. 5. Lay a spring roll wrapper flat.
  6. 6. Whisk the egg white.
  7. 7. Brush the outer edges of the wrapper with the egg white.
  8. 8. Place one pear strip on the bottom third of the wrapper.
  9. 9. Sprinkle the pear with cheese.
  10. 10. Season the filling with cumin.
  11. 11. Fold the left and right sides of the wrapper over the filling.
  12. 12. Roll the spring roll tightly from the bottom to the top.
  13. 13. Heat oil in a pan to approximately 170 degrees Celsius.
  14. 14. Fry the spring rolls in batches in the hot oil.
  15. 15. Fry the rolls for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  16. 16. Turn the rolls so they brown evenly on all sides.
  17. 17. Place the finished rolls on kitchen paper.
  18. 18. Let the excess fat drain off.
