Ingredients
- 2 pears
- 150 g Gorgonzola
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 12 physalis
- 12 toothpicks
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pears thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Remove the stem area from the top of the pears.
- 3. Carefully cut each pear in half lengthwise.
- 4. Divide each pear half into three equal wedges.
- 5. Remove the core from the wedges using a knife or a melon baller.
- 6. Drizzle the pear wedges immediately with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- 7. Peel the physalis fruits from their papery husks.
- 8. Rinse the husked physalis fruits briefly.
- 9. Pat the physalis fruits dry with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Cut the Gorgonzola cheese into 12 small rectangular pieces.
- 11. Thread one piece of cheese onto each small wooden skewer.
- 12. Thread one physalis fruit onto the skewer above the cheese piece.
- 13. Insert the free end of the skewer firmly into one of the prepared pear wedges.
- 14. Arrange the finished bites attractively on a serving plate.
- 15. Serve the skewers immediately as a small snack with the welcome cocktail.
