  1. 1. Cut the dried plums and apricots into thin strips.
  2. 2. Squeeze half of the orange and measure out exactly 50 milliliters of juice.
  3. 3. Simmer the plums and apricots in a non-stick pan with star anise, cinnamon, the orange juice, and rose water for about 2 minutes. Let the liquid reduce by half. Remove the pan from the heat, let the mixture cool down, and then remove the star anise.
  4. 4. Meanwhile, wash the pear, cut it into quarters, and remove the core. Cut the pear pieces into small cubes.
  5. 5. Fold the pear cubes into the cooled dried fruit mixture and divide it into small bowls.
  6. 6. Whisk the thick milk until creamy and pour it over the pear fruit salad.
