🍽️ Pear-Apple Jam with Rowan Berries

Ingredients
- 500 g tart apples
- 500 g pears
- 300 g rowan berries
- 2 untreated limes
- 1 kg jam sugar (1:1)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon powder
- 3 cloves
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apples and pears.
- 2. Cut the fruit into quarters.
- 3. Remove the cores.
- 4. Slice the fruit flesh into thin strips.
- 5. Pick the rowan berries off the stems.
- 6. Wash the rowan berries.
- 7. Drain the rowan berries.
- 8. Squeeze the juice of half a lime.
- 9. Mix the rowan berries with the lime juice, sugar, and spices.
- 10. Set the apple and pear pieces aside.
- 11. Let the rowan berry mixture sit overnight.
- 12. Pour boiling water over the second half of the lime.
- 13. Peel off the lime zest.
- 14. Squeeze the lime juice.
- 15. Add the lime juice to the fruit mixture.
- 16. Bring everything to a boil in a pot while stirring.
- 17. Let the jam bubble vigorously for about 4 minutes.
- 18. Fill the hot jam into prepared jars.
- 19. Seal the jars.
- 20. Place the jars upside down for 10 minutes.
- 21. Turn the jars over.
- 22. Let the jam cool.
