  4. 4. Slice the fruit flesh into thin strips.
  5. 5. Pick the rowan berries off the stems.
  6. 6. Wash the rowan berries.
  7. 7. Drain the rowan berries.
  8. 8. Squeeze the juice of half a lime.
  9. 9. Mix the rowan berries with the lime juice, sugar, and spices.
  10. 10. Set the apple and pear pieces aside.
  11. 11. Let the rowan berry mixture sit overnight.
  12. 12. Pour boiling water over the second half of the lime.
  13. 13. Peel off the lime zest.
  14. 14. Squeeze the lime juice.
  15. 15. Add the lime juice to the fruit mixture.
  16. 16. Bring everything to a boil in a pot while stirring.
  17. 17. Let the jam bubble vigorously for about 4 minutes.
  18. 18. Fill the hot jam into prepared jars.
